A Message from the PresidentThrough the Ablaze! initiative the LCMS is working to revitalize 2,000 congregations by 2017. The Transforming Congregations Network is the chosen tool to help congregations that want to capture or recapture a purposeful mission. The goal of revitalization is that congregations would see the ministry entrusted to them as following after Jesus’ mission to seek and to save the lost. Congregations that engage in the revitalization process will go through an in-depth evaluation of their current ministry and be given the tools to reshape the ministry in their midst to one of faithful and fruitful discipleship. At present the North Wisconsin District is assembling a team that will be trained to lead those congregations. The next step will be to identify congregations that are willing to engage in the revitalization process. This is not a “quick fix” for congregations. It will require a strong commitment of time, energy, and resources in order to be accomplished properly.Read More... |
